Viktor Axberg, known professionally as Viktor Ax, is a renowned music producer based in Uppsala, Sweden. With over 20 years of experience in studio recording, he has earned credits on multiple gold and platinum-certified records and amassed over 130 million streams on Spotify. Today, he stands as one of Sweden's most respected producers in the Hip Hop and Rap genres.
While he is a well-established name in Scandinavia, known for his collaborations with some of Sweden's biggest and most successful rap artists, Viktor has also worked with internationally recognized global stars. His impressive list of collaborators includes Mavado, Eminem’s group D12, Sean Price, Saigon, Stat Quo, and more.
In addition to his work on various artists' albums, singles, and projects, Viktor made a significant impact with his own compilation releases. In 2012, he released the critically acclaimed album The Lab, which featured numerous collaborations with American rappers. However, it wasn't until 2015 that his career gained significant momentum with the release of a trilogy of EPs inspired by the three monkeys. These EPs, released through Universal Music Group and Playground Music, featured some of the most intriguing acts in Sweden of the time, including Dani M, Abidaz, Ozz6y, Mwuana, Denz, and others. Viktor also introduced a number of fresh, emerging talents such as Rawa, Rozh, Arre, and Enes.
In 2019, Viktor released his second album and first in Swedish, Epilepsi, under his own label, Vax Recordings, which was established through Playground Music. As with his previous releases, the album was marked by a personal sound, where intros and skits painted stories filled with hidden messages.
Viktor's signature sound is often described as dark, heavy, and unique. He is widely regarded as a key figure in shaping the modern sound of suburban Hip Hop in Sweden.
